When, after 40 years in sales and management in the construction industry, Alan took early retirement he dedicated his time to his passion for classic cars which in turn led to a passion for private number plates.

He decided to take that passion and turn it into a business. They do say after all that if you have a job that you love you never have to work a day in your life.

Alan’s philosophy in business was always to surround himself with the best people so when he needed a partner for the new venture there was only ever one candidate, his friend of 30 years Carl.

Carl had already had successful careers in banking & finance with Barclays and in corporate hospitality with The FA where he helped raise £1 billion to build the new Wembley stadium, building a large portfolio of premium clients along the way, when he joined the UK's biggest private plate dealer in 2010. In his 10 years at that company with his sharp eye for market trends and his business acumen he was responsible for several of the highest value car registration sales ever transacted in the UK including “G1” and “X1”, achieving the highest sale price for a number plate ever achieved in the UK.
